Maryville v.s. Mo West

I have a question? if Coach Woods is so shallow and play favorites why does he have 80-90 varsity football players out each year. It should be a good Bgame friday, but Maryville has the horses this year.

Last time the 2 teams met, Mowest handed maryville their first loss in 39 games, this game will be a good one, even though mowest lost most of its D since last season

I agree its gonna be a good game..whoever comes out and plays is whos gonna come out with a Win..but how about we talk about what this thread is about Mowest vs Maryville..and stop bringing up the coaches..as he has said plenty of times Coach Woods plays the best players and thats all there is to it..Instead of worrying about the coaching maybe our fans should step up and support us..anyway I would just like to see this thread talk about the game and not how bad our coaching is (which it isn't at ALL, Coach Woods is a great coach)..so lets keep this MoWest Vs Maryville.

honestly, good post 65. this thread was about us vs. maryville, not the parents vs. coacht woods. parents, fans, uncles, cousins, whatever you are, just quit complaining about the coaching staff, they took us to the blue cross bowl last year, so there must be some good coaches there. our fans do need to stop complaining and just support us! #50

I don't usually say much on these boards, mostly I just like to listen to what people say.  Just for the record, I am a parent, a fan, I have not missed a game in 6 years and see most of the practices.  I hope that qualifies.  As far as Coach Woods and his staff is concerned, you will not find better Coaches, on or off the field. He teaches them alot of things they will not learn in the classroom and it may be that some of the teaching staff at West don't like him because he earns the respect of the players and they seem to have a long way to go in that area.  As far as playing kids because of money or because he likes the parents or something, thats just stupid and everyone knows it. If you are upset because your kid is not playing, he needs to work harder.  If he wants to start, he needs to work even harder!  And if he wants to get a hold of the ball, he better want it more than anything else!  I've been upset before about my sons not playing as much as I thought they should, but those Coaches know alot more than I do about how they play football.  You have to have some trust in thier judgement and believe they know what they are doing.  We have alot of talent on this team and they just need a little time.  Mo'west vs. Maryville?  Never underestimate your opponent.
