steepler113
Would it make sense to run 10 guys in the regional meet to anyone? Same scoring though 5 score 6-7 hold places 8-10 just there in case the other guys have bad races. This would really only benefit large teams that can have a team deep enough to field 10 guys in one race.

p9morbid
i agree with this also. Most of my memories of high school cross country weren't about winning and running fast times, they were about having fun with my friends. It made me very disappointed for some of my teammates who couldn't run in big meets just because they weren't fast enough. Given that the course could facilitate extra runners, I would love to see 10 person teams....afterall the whole idea is for kids to have fun. They show up 5 days a week for after school practice, and sometimes don't get to run in the big races. There is something wrong with competition supercedes comradery in high school sports. TennesseeRunner.com
how about a JV race that wouldn't be to hard would it?

We've always had one in Region 5. Gives the underclassman a chance to see the course (if the course stays in the same place from year to year). p9morbid
JV race solves the problem (i guess)
steepler113
We ran a JV race. that was not scored...I'm not sure if it was timed.
crosovr10
Steepler you are a retard. What kind of thread is this? You say the stupidest things. Who cares about JV, who would time it? Not me thats for sure. By the way great running for ya this year....we'll get state next year.
