Congrats to Caoch Webb and his staff for a great season. Alcoa has a superior team in Class 2A. I feel we could play with anyone in the state except Alcoa. Too many athletes for most teams in east Tennessee to handle. I thought it would be great to say we only lost 2 games this year and both were to the 2004 State Champion but naaaaaaaaa. After hearing all of the Alcoa fans take cheap shots at us on this board all year, I hope the Tornado's get smashed Friday night just like they did last year by David Liscomb. It one thing to ge good but Alcoa needs tolearn to be humble. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!

Smack talk from Alcoa? Rockwood did ther fair share of talking too!

If DL beats the snot out of alcoa, you be happy, huh?...hmmm thats smack talk!

Here one back at ya'........How in the world did RW come away with only two losses? How did they ever beat Sweetwater? Alcoa's first two opponents, Hampton, and sweetwater, where light years better than the RW team that played alcoa in round 3. RW has zero defense........period.

RW, get use to the beatings from Alcoa.......it's been that way, and it always will!

Alcoa 35 RW 0

Alcoa 46 RW 3

Total 81 - 3..................and it WILL be worse next year!

First of all, I want to say congradulations to Alcoa on an impressive victory. Second, I want to say congradulations to Rockwood on an outstanding season of which they only lost to one team. I think that for Alcoa now, its put up time with all this post game trash talking. Last year, they were embarrassed by a Lipscomb team who also got embarrassed by a Huntington team a week later. This year, Alcoa must avenge a loos to the same team who beat them by 49 a year ago. I realize that in ways both teams are different and the same, but like I said, its put up time. Then Aloca, if they win, will have to play eother the defending state champs or a team who feels they should have been there instead. I really hope Alcoa does well, but its by far not over yet.

i think that rockwood had a pretty good defense...alcoa just has a really really really good offense...most of rockwoods team just came out in the second half and gave up, (i was at the game). they didnt show any agression at all and just wanted the night to be over with so they can go home...in other words they gave up...they were also intimidated by alcoa...they worked hard and deserved a spot in the quarterfinals, just not in the semis...congratulations to alcoa and good luck

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
