Dart
Congratulations to Alcoa for winning the Championship. It was a great game. Mustangs we're all proud of you. You had another great season. Without a doubt, the two best AA teams in the state played last night in Murfreesboro. I wouldn't be surprised if they meet again next year. 825467492 I agree totally. These were the best AA teams. Too bad that can't be said of the 5A game...but the brackets and playoff design eliminates OR and DB from being in the state against Riverdale..the semifinal is as far as one can go in those pairings. The Mustangs were all I had heard they are..a great team. Alcoa, the same to you! That game took my wind and was what exciting football is all about. I have great respect for both of these teams. God Bless. Dart. really good season, hate to see it over till next year.
Flashy1048
Both teams played a great game! I didn't expect HHS to score as many points on our D, but BOO can play!! He is a very talented athlete and these two teams could meet again next year. I don't know if HHS would want to see that Alcoa team next year. Just imagine how much bette they will be! Anyway, Congrats to Alcoa, Maryville, and Fulton for representing East TN and dominating the STATE!!! For Alcoa it's gold ball #6!!! thumb
milanpunisher4
to anyone who didnt think huntingdon deserved to be playing for the state game, i do hope you are willing to admit you were wrong. im not saying anyone actually said they shouldnt be there, but it was implied and most people thought they had no chance. no one else has put it to alcoa like huntingdon did other than maryville and i dont think anyone esle could have accomplished what the Stangs did last night. Both teams gave it their all in this game and deserved to be there. Congrats to Alcoa in their victory. ''He has a little bit of power,'' Lindsey said. ''He ran me over on the goal line.'' ''I wanted to get in there, and I did,'' Donald said. ''Heart, it was all heart.'' - Jackson Sun if most of those guys are coming back nest year then....wow, it will be two in a row unless someone somewhere can step it up...a lot. 825467962 milan could've been there jsut as much as h-don...a lot of bad & missed calls in that game...u can say excuses all u want but let someone neutral watch the film & they'd say the same thing. duckman38201
I picked Huntingdon by 7 +/- and was wrong. Alcoa has a great team as well as Huntingdon. I certainly expect to see Alcoa back in the 'boro next season.Huntingdon will lose more players and we'll have to see how well they recover from that to see if they can come back as well. Alcoa's passing attack may have been the difference but, the most important factor to me was how Alcoa dominated the line of scrimmage most of the game. To beat a power team like Huntingdon, that is the only way to do it. To my neighbors in Huntingdon, ya'll have every right to be proud of the Mustangs. They represented Huntingdon, Carroll Co., region 6AA and West TN VERY well at the 'boro. Great game Chris!
Mr. Mustang
milan could've been there jsut as much as h-don...a lot of bad & missed calls in that game...u can say excuses all u want but let someone neutral watch the film & they'd say the same thing. 825469477 Hang it up man... Milan had their chance. Huntingdon put up a 75 yard drive in the closing minutes to win the game. All Milan had to do was stop the Mustangs and they win. Don't get me started all over again. It's over. Don't tarnish the storied Milan tradition by making excuses. Milan beat Huntingdon in 1998 when Kidd moved on the line and the refs made no call. Milan wins the game and then wins the championship. We don't bellyache so why should you? A 100 years from now no one will know the difference anyway will they? Mr. Mustang
Looking back at Mustang69 post most people across the state didn't realize Huntingdon lost 16 starters off last year's 2003 Championship squad. Congratulations to the Mustangs Seniors and all the rest of this years team. We're proud of you..... thumb Edited December 6, 2004 by Blue Eyes

I hardly ever go to a game where I agree with all the calls. The refs didn't win the Mustangs won. Milan couldn't have hung with Alcoa, why, because Milan had no passing game. Quit whining, the season is over. The '04 Alcoa team got a gold ball, the '04 Huntingdon team got a silver ball and the 'O4 Milan team got no ball. Deal with it.
