Sequatchie
****** UPDATE ***** UPDATE ****** OC - Josh McNeil (Collins, MS) 6'4, 290, 5.10 Commited to Tennessee he is rated by one recruiting service as the #1 Center prospect in the country. He has been a starter in HS since 9th grade and as a junior had 116 pancake blocks and as a senior he had 90+ pancake blocks never allowing a QB sack in HS. He chose Tennessee over offers from Southern California, LSU, Florida and Mississippi State ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WR/ATH - Lucas Taylor (Lafayette, LA) 6'0, 190, 4.50 Committed to Tennessee he played QB the past three seasons in HS but will probably play WR at Tennessee. He is considered by one recruiting service to be the #2nd best prospect in Louisiana. This past season he rushed for over 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns from the QB position and returned a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown. He chose Tennessee over Auburn, Ole Miss & Oklahoma State Edited January 5, 2005 by Sequatchie
bhsOL
I just hope Patrick Turner and Michael Oher will come to UT. Both were recognized as 2 of 3 player from TN to make the USA Today All-American team.
Sequatchie
I just hope Patrick Turner and Michael Oher will come to UT. Both were recognized as 2 of 3 player from TN to make the USA Today All-American team. 825507146[/snapback] I think Oher is a VOL when all is said and done. Patrick Turner may not have ship at UT anymore with the commit of Lucus Taylor who some say on film looks like Peter Warrick. Tennessee may have moved on to more important positions like defensive back and on the O & D line. Receiver was not an important position for UT this season anyway they only lose 1 Senior this year at the position and if he stays I think Sheaffer will see that he can make more money at this position than at QB. This will be a big time postion next year where they will probably go after 3 or 4 All-American receivers and should be the top of every big time receivers list with Erik Ainge & Jonathan Crompton as the quarterbacks. Tom142
Out of that list I think Tennessee has a good shot at getting Oher and Baker. I got really excited last night when I heard Jamie Newberg on Countdown To Signing Day say that when all is said and done Tennesse may not only have the best recruiting class in the SEC, but in the nation. He makes a unannounced Official visit to Knoxville. I think he is seeing what Tennessee is putting together for the next 4-5 years plus with a boat load of guys leaving Miami and Saben leaving for the Dolphins the chance for a campionship run may not be as great at those places also the possiblity that Carroll might leave USC for the 49'ers.
