Don Poier Passes Away

The only voice the Vancouver or Memphis Grizzlies have ever known, Don Poier, was found dead in his hotel room in Denver today. He was 53. Poier was the play-by-play man for either the radio or television for 826 of the 830 Grizzlies' games in franchise history before tonight, missing two games earlier this year for his oldest daughter's graduation from college.

 

Poier leaves his wife, Barbara, eight children, and 10 grandchildren.
