I hope not. I just can't find it in my heart to like Dale Jarrett. Nothing personal against him, I just got so tired of hearing my boy Dale when his old man was a commentator on race day.

 

 

 

My pick is starting on the outside of row 1 for the first Gatorade race. I feel like Kevin Harvick will be a contender this year.

Dale will do the same thing that he always does in the 500, fall to the back and avoid the BIG ONE and be in contention at the end. Dale Jr. has not looked too good this week, but that could change dramatically by the time the Twin 150's arrive. I feel like it is time for Jimmie Johnson to win a 500 and he and Gordon are looking strong at the moment.

I agree. He went backwards Saturday night and didn't make it back to the front. My feelings are that Childress and Hendrick have caught up to DEI on the restrictor plate program.

 

From a source within Ganassi Racing the Dodges should race very well, but suck when on the track by themselves. It is going to take a little more time for the new Chargers to be contenders on Superspeedways. They will be very good at downforce tracks such as Michigan, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Texas and California.

 

I would like to see my friend Sterling win another 500, but this year my money is on that 29. He is very agressive, but has been in Cup long enough to be patiently agressive.

Harvick has ticked alot of drivers off after trying to bump draft Jimmie Johnson in the middle of a turn a causing a massive pile up! Mark Martin, Jimmie Johnson, Rusty Wallace, Dave Blaney, and Joe Nemecheck were all involved and all had some pretty harsh words about Harvick!

What is the difference between Harvick's antics and those of Tony Stewart??? Both of them are hot-heads and if they do not look out, somebody is gonna get seriously injured from their ridiculous actions on a racetrack.

In what I am about to post it may seem that I am defending Harvick and I guess I am but not intentionally.

 

I watched the replay of the race and I feel that his car hust got a good suck up going into the turn and Johnson slowed as he entered the turn. The biggest complaint from drivers at Daytona is their car getting tight. When your car is tight and pushing you will have to lift when entering the turns.

 

I feel that Harvick was actually a victim himself to the crazy things that happen in restrictor plate racing. I have never driven at those speeds in those situations, but I have been involved in racing long enough to know that these types of things do happen.

 

And as to the referral to Tony Stewart, yes he is a hot head just as is Harvick. If I were to ride in a 150 dgree oven for 3-4 hours and someone say the wrong thing to me I would probably do something worse than these two ever have. I have been known to be in a few skirmishes after a race or two.
