Hey Blue devil .... u think just because u have baxter back that u all will go to state....you have 2 good players..Corn and Whitson....yes baxter is a really great coach but if the team blows like ur does then it doesnt matter who the coach is....i mean baxter cant play for u....he can just run ur balls off. Its gonna suck for yall after every game when yall lose...because ull be gettin ur butt chewed by ur all mighty coach.....to bad ur team stinks big balls. thumb

The Blue Devils return nine seniors most of whom started last season.What happened last year doesn't matter anymore though. Yes we have a great coach and Whitson and Corn will be standouts this season if the play to their potential, but the rest of the team should be equally as impressive. Personally I don't understand why Unicoi is being ran through the mud by Volunteer players and fans. As a player I have always held respect for MOST of the Volunteer Falcons. They have always been nice guys on and off the field However there are a couple who need to get their priorities straight if they want to go very far come tournament time. Good luck to you this season.

hahah give me a break i dont care if baxter is ken griffey sr. he dont play on the field. who do u have besides corn and whitson stiil wating on names we beat whitson once and broyles isn't back to beat us so who will?????we have 8 starters back with 5 pitchers that have improved a great deal by the way tell peterson dont make 15 errors this time cause this year it is on thumb

Hey i hope ur fat 1st basemen is ready to get leveled by the fridge....aka jordy harrison like he did last year. all u blue devil people get on my nerves. u all have big heads and u dont realize u live out in the middle of nowhere. all i know is when u play us at HV u will get your world rocked.

Who cares about the Volunteer Falcon Baseball team?  I mean come on baby Baxter is back in Unicoi County and you know what that means huh,  STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TIME!!!!  Unicoi County has the best team they have had in 5 years this year.  You all couldn't beat them last year and you all haven't seen nothing yet!

I think the people that are bad mouthing you Blue Devils are from somewhere other than Volunteer. We care about Volunteer Falcon Baseball, thats why we started this thread. Not to bad mouth UC or HV. You guys need to get your own thread so you can bad mouth all you want. I think you will find that most real Volunteer baseball fans have a lot of respect for both the Unicoi Co. and Happy Valley baseball programs. We just don't respect SOME of their fans, and I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

      He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons

      A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.

      Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
