District 7a?

What's the district gonna look like this year? What's everyone's rankings?

I believe Pickett, RBS, Monterey and Clay will be the 4 to beat this year...Clarkrange and HS will be down...

Monterey is looking pretty good this year. They are going to be one of the big ones to beat.

1. Monterey- Has one of top pitchers in 7a and others that are showing promise.

Better hitters from top to bottom.

Couple new faces that will step right in and make a difference.

Promising freshmen that will see pt as they go along.

 

2. Pickett- Could live off last year's successful season.

New Coach could make or brake the season.

Who's coming out from Basketball? Will be a factor

???Hear there's not enough games scheduled! Could hurt the team.

Play small ball well, at least they did last year.......

 

3. Clay Co.- Another top pitcher in 7a.

A few sluggers to watch out for that can hurt you..

Will have to win off talent, can't depend on coaching ability to win the

close ones......

 

4. RBS- Will be down this season. Lost a lot of starters

If a certain pitcher is injured this is where they end up.

If that pitcher plays with no problems, they contend for 2nd...

 

5. H.S.- New Coach, possibly some added enthusiasm

Will struggle against the top 3-4.

 

6. Clarkrange- Lost possibly the best all around player in 7a last year.

Do the best they can with what they have to work with,

and who's working with them..

How can you pick a team that lost to Pickett last year, and Pickett will be coming back w/ literally the same team as last year...I think Pickett is the strongest team coming back this year...

Thats one way to look at it. Another way is that Monterey beat Pickett by about 9 or 10 runs each time in the regular season. And lost to them with trown togther pitching in the district tourn. By one run with the tying run thrown out at home to end the game. Whatever! None of that matters once you hit the field you know that.

"Coaching my dear Swan, Coaching", thats why you can look for Pickett to not do as good a last year. Coach Looper will have his guys ready, Pickett is a ?. Not that they don't have talent, they do by all means just have to see what the new coach turns out to be....

I really don't know about the other teams but i think Hermitage Springs will finish better this year than fifth. They have two juniors that are pretty good pitchers. One of them is william russell who can hit the ball everytime up to bat. Jimmy Campbell can pitch pretty good also. They both play every where on the field. They have great talent. The only thing the team needs to work on is fielding. Which is already coming together.

Every time,must have improved 100% since last year.

Well we have one a game this year i mean i don't expect us to go and win state but i think were better than last year. Next year we'll be even better because we get everyone back.

Well yall beat Clarkrange by 3 runs and Clarkrange isn't the team they have been in the past...They're in a big rebuilding mode this year and doesn't have a solid #1 pitcher to my knowledge...William is a decent pitcher, but HS doesn't have that solid ace like Clay has McLerran, Monterey has Phillips, Pickett has Wright and RBS has Heady...who pithced tonight against Jackson Co...They'll keep getting better as they get more players to come out...Good Luck to yall though I hope yall have a decent year this year...
