Old Hickory

Put in at Davis Corner today. There was a small tournament running out of there so parking was a little tight. Fished Spencer and Station Camp creeks until about 12:30. My buddy caught 1 fish for the day. Nice drum about 4 lbs. on a suspending shad rap. I boated 6 bass out of the back of the boat. All caught on a jerk bait. Biggest weighed 2 lbs 13 oz. The others were around 1 lb but wouldn't measure. Water temps started off around 47 to 48 degrees but ended up around 53 when we left. They were hitting on the pause. Wind was fairly bad but the fished didn't seem to mind. I have to admit that I felt pretty good seeing how some of the other boaters weren't getting any bites or they had only a couple of small ones.

Hopefully the water temp will stay above 50 degrees soon and the jerk bait bite will get better.

Fishin' Old Hickory this weekend in a tournament....... But still having boat problems........ Dealer gave an estimate of 6 weeks to get boat back. GGGRRRR :o Gonna fish, but don't feel we can run the boat over 4500 rpm's. If anyone knows options to get work on Yammies, I'm all ears.

To tell ya the truth, I have never heard of a problem with a Yamaha. My fishing buddy runs an Evenrude and I have never not known problems with one of those. But it had a better warrenty than the Yam......
