High School Football Honor Roll

Each week during the season, the Times-Union will select five area players who turned in standout performances the week before. Coaches can e-mail nominations to preps@jacksonville.com by Monday evening.

Braden Gray, Baker County, OL: The sophomore graded out at 90 percent with four pancake blocks and didn't allow a sack in the Wildcats' 31-28 win over Trinity Christian.

Brandon Finkley, Atlantic Coast, DB: The senior intercepted three passes and also scored on a 10-yard run to lead the Stingrays to a 49-0 win over Paxon.

Erick Hayward, Orange Park, RB: The senior carried 19 times for 229 yards and three touchdowns as the Raiders defeated Gainesville Buchholz 49-20.

Adam Sandin, Creekside, QB: The junior completed 12-of-18 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown and ran 19 times for 120 yards and another score in the Knights' 28-22 win over Mandarin.

Jake Taylor, Christ's Church, RB: The junior ran for 222 yards on 21 carries, scoring twice in a 42-6 victory over Seacoast Christian.
