MELBOURNE — Kylah Berry pitched a complete game to lead Rockledge to its sixth consecutive victory, 4-1 over Eau Gallie on Wednesday night.

The Raiders have allowed just two runs during the win streak, with their last loss coming to Viera, 3-2, on Feb. 25. During the past six games they've earned three shutout wins and a forfeit victory.

“We talk a lot about Eau Gallie as a team. Any time you come here to play, it’s tough,” said Rockledge head coach Scott Thomas. “The whole coaching staff always has them prepared to play well, so you know they’re going to play hard and fight to the end.”

Rockledge broke a scoreless tie in the top of the 3rd via a passed ball. Later in the inning, junior Emily Thomas singled in a run to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead.

Thomas went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

"Eau Gallie really made us compete from the first pitch to the last pitch,” Thomas said.

The Commodores got on the board in the bottom of the fifth to cut the deficit in half, but that's as close as they'd get.

Freshman Daphne Aravena led off the seventh inning for the Raiders with a shot to the fence. The next pitch was a passed ball, allowing Aravena to score and extend the lead to 3-1. Rockledge would tack on one more run to close out the win.
