Class 7A Region 1

Orange City University 3, Lake Brantley 0

Buzz: The Titans stayed on a roll and remain undefeated (25-0) after shutting out the Patriots. Madde Jorczak went 2-for-4 with a RBI for University while Grace Taylor pitched the complete game with only 3 hits given up. Kiley Strott went 1-for-2 with 2 walks for Lake Brantley. University advances to the state semifinal to face another undefeated team in Lake Worth Park Vista (28-0).

Class 7A Region 3

Bradenton Lakewood Ranch 7, West Orange 2

Class 6A Region 1

Winter Springs 6, Tallahassee Lincoln 3 (9 inn.)

Buzz: The Bears (21-7) advanced to the final four thanks to a walk-off 3-run homer from Hannah Booth in the 9th inning. Booth was 3-for-5 with that homer, a triple and 5 RBI while Megan Hagge and Amber Daugherty each went 2-for-4.

Class 4A Region 2

Eustis 5, Belleview 0

Buzz: The Panthers (25-1) kept rolling into the state semifinals with a shutout win. They will face Ridgeview at 10 a.m. Thursday in Clermont.

Class 3A Region 2

Windermere Prep 4, The First Academy 3 (11 inn.)

Buzz: After TFA erased a 3-0 deficit in the final two innings to force extra innings, the combination of Gracie Wallace and Madison Carr won it for the Lakers (24-1) in the 11th inning to send them to the state semifinals. Wallace not only pitched the complete game for the Lakers with 21 strikeouts, she also had 3 hits, including a leadoff double in the 11th. Mia Williams went 4-for-5 for Windermere Prep with 2 stolen bases. Mollie Duling went 4-for-5 for the Royals (20-7) with a run scored while Camille Mackedon had a game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to keep TFA in the game.

Class 2A Region 2

Mount Dora Christian 10, Seffner Christian 0

Buzz: The Bulldogs (20-8) rolled into the state semifinals on the strength of Leah Marshall’s 6-inning complete-game shutout with 9 strikeouts, no walks and just one hit given up. She also went 2-for-2 with a double, home run, 2 walks and 3 RBI while Sammi Thomas also went 2-for-2 with 3 RBI.

Freedom 3, Cardinal Gibbons 1

Buzz: The reigning state champion Patriots advanced to the semifinals with a 25-23, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20 win over the Chiefs (19-7). Matt McIntyre led Freedom (28-2) with 15 kills, 16 assists and 5 blocks while Andre Aguilar added 8 kills, 23 assists and 3 blocks. Austin Davis chipped in with 7 kills and 10 digs. The Patriots will face Royal Palm Beach (14-0) in Saturday’s first state semifinal at 10 a.m.
