Following a flurry of visits in the first half of June, Florida continues bringing in top recruits — and a grad transfer — this weekend.

Gators coach Dan Mullen and his staff will welcome six official visitors to campus, including three top-200 overall prospects.

Florida welcomes four-star running back Terrance Gibbs

One of the notable names is four-star running back Terrance Gibbs (Winter Park, Fla.), who ranks 188th nationally in the 247Sports Composite. He was originally slated to take his official June 25, but will now visit UF this weekend instead of Tennessee.

It marks the second trip to Gainesville this month for Gibbs, who visited on the first day of the quiet period (June 1) and named the Gators his leader afterward. Gibbs then took official visits to LSU (June 4) and Florida State (June 11).

Four-star linebacker Shemar James Faith (Mobile, Aa.) and four-star edge rusher DJ Wesolak (Boonville, Mo.) are the other two top-200 visitors for Florida this weekend. Faith has taken officials to in-state schools Alabama and Auburn in June, while Wesolak is scheduled to visit Southern Cal next weekend.

Alex McPherson to give UF a look

The Gators will also play host to Alabama kicker Alex McPherson (Fort Payne), the younger brother of former UF kicker Evan McPherson, and Orlando receiver Chandler Smith (Orlando), who holds a four-star rating from Rivals. McPherson has officially visited Auburn and Texas A&M with Georgia still on deck (June 25), while Smith took officials to Arkansas and South Carolina this month.

A late addition to this weekend’s visitors list is a familiar name to Florida fans. Former cornerback commit Elijah Blades, a grad transfer, plans to visit the Gators again after leaving Texas A&M on June 10.

It will be the second official to UF for Blades, who took a trip in January 2017 as a recruit. However, he visited Nebraska the following week and flipped to the Cornhuskers on signing day, but went to junior college.

Blades was ranked the No. 4 JUCO player in the 2019 recruiting class and signed with Texas A&M. He made six starts that fall and missed four games due to injury, finishing 2019 with 19 tackles, 1.5 sacks and three pass breakups before opting out last season.
