Crewe Hasenour drops the hammer

Gibson Southern sophomore Crewe Hasenour (18, white) hammers a line-drive double to left field in the bottom of the first inning against North Posey on May 2, 2025. The Titans defeated the Vikings, 7-3, in a Pocket Athletic Conference encounter in Fort Branch.

EVANSVILLE — Head Coach Bobby Segal’s Gibson Southern baseball team scored two runs in the top of the first inning to take a quick 2-0 lead over host Evansville Christian on Saturday morning and then came back push an additional 10 runs across home plate in the top of the second inning to, for all practical purposes, put the game away en route to a 14-1 five-inning non-conference win over the host Eagles.

The Titans ripped 14 base hits in the run-rule shortened contest, including a two-run home run by senior Connor Marvel, in the game against the Eagles.
