Winfield, Ark City shut out as rival showdown looms

The Winfield High School girls soccer team managed just seven total shots Tuesday night in an 8-0 nonleague loss to Mulvane at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.

The visiting Lady Wildcats (5-1) lead the Class 4-3-2-1A Central/South Central Section Regional standings, having outscored the opposition 29-3 this season. Their only loss was a 1-0 setback March 28 against Class 5A Valley Center.
