Panther girls finish fifth

BELOIT — Scoring in 12 events, the Concordia High School girls' track and field team placed fifth in the 79th Beloit Relays.
Concordia finished with 66 points in the meet.
Beloit captured the team title with 88 points. Phillipsburg was second with 80 and Abilene was third with 76.
The Concordia boys scored 27 points and tied for eighth place with Phillipsburg.
Beloit easily won the meet with 153 points. Abilene was distant second with 89 and Chapman was third with 82.
The Concordia girls had Emma Wahlmeier turn in her best time so far this season in winning the 400-meter dash in 59.66. She was also second in the 100 dash in 13.57.
Wahlmeier ran on the 4x100 relay team with Zoe Bechard, Sierra Gropp and Katlynn Miller that finished second in 51.88.
The Panthers' 4x400 relay team of Wahlmeier, Gropp, Bechard and Ava Swihart was fourth in 4:23.77.
Gropp placed second in the 200 dash (27.74) and fifth in the 100 (13.57).
Concordia had Chloe Conway place second in the high jump by clearing 4-10. Swihart was fifth (4-8) and Jara Nordell was sixth (4-8).
Conway was also sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.12).
Miller placed fourth in the long jump (14-11 ¾) and in the triple jump (32-9).
Bechard was fifth in the long jump (14-8 ¾).
Terin Rundus finished fifth in the javelin (106-4) and sixth in the 800-meter runs (2:40.47).
Karlee Wahlmeier placed sixth in the shot put (32-3 ½).
The Concordia boys recorded two third-place finishes in the meet.
Easton Hake was third in the javelin with a toss of 141-5. Beau Bonebrake placed fifth (132-0).
Concordia's 4x100 relay team of Drake Revell, Dylan Thoman, Kyle Palmquist and Keyan Miller finished fourth (46.29).
Miller was fifth in the 100 dash (11.95) and sixth in the 200 (24.54).
Cav Calgren placed fourth in the high jump (5-8).
Revell was fourth in the triple jump (38-4 ¾).
Oakley Champlin finished sixth in the discus (125-11).
The Panthers' 4x800 relay team of Carlgren, Alexis Garcia, Sajen Kemling and Austin Killian was sixth (10:01.45).
Concordia will compete in the Minneapolis Invitational on Tuesday.
