After defeating the Vikings, 12-0, in a game ended by the run rule, the Big Red ultimately fell to Cougars a second time. Both teams posted two runs in the first inning, with Dickson adding three in the third inning. The score was stacked 7-2 against the Patriots after the top of the sixth, thanks to the addition of two more runs by Dickson County.

The Patriots closed the gap in the bottom of the eighth, scoring on a double and an error, but came up short.

After a season of strong play, several Patriots players logged postseason honors.
