Their AAU careers are over and Senior years start in a few weeks. The 2025 class is officially winding down their high school basketball careers. There has been a lot of movement up and down the rankings over the years. At this point, there is still some movement but the number 1 and 2 prospects haven't changed in a long while. Here's a look at the updated top ten in the rising Senior class.

Sitting on top of the class for the past year, Moreno is in the consensus top 25-50 in America, depending on where you look. A game changer on the defensive end, Malachi's offensive game continues to improve and his ceiling is that of a future NBA lottery pick.

Zander is frequently overlooked in the "top 2025s" conversation but he's a big time scorer and was one of the best players for Kentucky in the Kentucky/Indiana Junior All Star Game in June. He'll contribute early and often at Liberty once he gets there.

One of the hottest names in Kentucky coming out of July AAU, Huff is an elite shooter who has improved as a playmaker and defender over the last calendar year. Holding several D1 offers, look for Maddox to be the front runner for 13th region player of the year.

A big wing, Dawson had a great Junior high school season, making one of the biggest shots in recent memory to lift Great Crossing to Rupp Arena. An up and down AAU season caused Vince to slip but he's at his best when playing for the Warhawks so don't be surprised to see him climb back into the top 3 before graduation.

The most recent commitment in the class, Melo had an interesting summer where he made the move from the 11th region and Douglass to the 8th and Woodford County. Boone is possibly the best athlete in the 26 class but he can also get hot from deep. A possible steal for the Toppers.

Butler had a big summer in both high school and AAU basketball. He's the best college prospect in the first region's 2025 class and in the mix for player of the year in the region. Jonah does a lot for his team and is a stat sheet stuffer for the Lakers.

The single biggest stock riser of the summer, Johnson has added several D1 offers in the last month and went from a D2 prospect to a surefire D1 player. Andy is an athletic wing and big time shooter who reminds me of a bigger version of former Cooper Jaguar Adam Kunkel.

Isaiah suffered a gnarly ankle injury in early May and has been on the shelf since. Cochran is a big wing with good positional size. He should be back in time for the high school season and will have Adair County looking to repeat in 2025.

Edmonds is another player who got hurt and missed a large portion of the Summer. JuJu had a really bad ankle injury in early June and has barely played since. Once he's rested and ready, look for Edmonds to make a push for 7th region player of the year as one of the best and most skilled posts in the state.
