The boys lacrosse season is in its final stretch with the postseason in sight.
South Oldham
The Dragons have started to find a great rhythm and balance heading into the postseason. South Oldham has an 11-5 record and has won eight of its last 10 games. South only has two Kentucky losses on the year.
Juniors Rylan Rogers and Harrison Ramsey lead the team in goals scored. Rogers leads the team with 42 goals scored while also assisting on 16 more goals. Ramsey has scored 37 goals and assisted on 13.
Seniors Owen Rupp and Cooper Olson have led the team offensively as well. Rupp is responsible for 53 goals on the year, second most on the team. He’s scored 34 on his own and has assisted on 19. Olson has scored 23 goals and leads the team with 23 assists.
The Dragons wrapped up its regular season against Atherton on Tuesday, May 6 at home. South looks to make it to its third consecutive state championship once the postseason begins.
North Oldham
The young Mustangs sit at 7-10 on the season. They have two seniors on the roster and have won three of their last 5 games heading into their regular season finale.
Junior Evan Smith leads the team with 34 goals scored, over a one-third of the team’s points this season. He’s also assisted on eight more goals. Fellow juniors Dillon Halfacre and Jack Bearance have scored 14 and 11 goals, respectively. Freshman Levi Gay leads the team with 11 assists on the season.
On the defensive side, senior Rylan Lowery and sophomore Payton Smith have split time as goalie. Lowery has played in 14 games while Smith has played in 13. Lowery has 101 saves on the year compared to Smith’s 54.
The Mustangs finished their season on Tuesday at Shelby County.
Oldham County
The Colonels are in their second season of a rebuild of their program. They sit at 0-8 on the season and finished their regular season with a game at home against DeSales on Tuesday night.
