Trinity boys, KCD girls lacrosse teams reach KHSAA state finals with convincing victories

- Noah Hollister scored four goals to lift Trinity's shutout of South Warren
- Eleanor Beam posted six goals and three assists to lead KCD over Manual
The Trinity boys and Kentucky Country Day girls lacrosse teams clinched spots in the inaugural Kentucky High School Athletic Association state championship games.
Trinity rolled past South Warren 19-0 in Monday’s boys semifinals at Collins High School.
Senior Noah Hollister had four goals and three assists to lead the Shamrocks. Senior Logan Bryant added three goals and an assist.
Trinity (14-7) will face South Oldham (17-5) in Wednesday’s 8 p.m. championship game at Collins. Juniors Rylan Rogers and Harrison Ramsey both scored four goals as South Oldham beat Woodford County 15-11 in Monday's other semifinal.
Trinity beat South Oldham 16-7 on March 19.
KCD trounced Manual 21-6 in Monday’s girls semifinals at Shelby County.
Junior Eleanor Beam had six goals and three assists to lead KCD. Juniors Ceci Flowers and Christine Martin both added four goals, and senior Leighton Spears pitched in five assists.
Manual senior Morgan Schmidt had three goals.
KCD (19-3) will face Sayre (17-4) in Wednesday’s 5 p.m. championship game at Collins. Sayre beat Notre Dame 10-8 in Monday's other semifinal.
KCD beat Sayre 18-3 on March 25.
This is the first year the KHSAA is sponsoring a lacrosse championship. Trinity’s boys and KCD’s girls both won championships last year in the Kentucky Scholastic Lacrosse League.
