Led by a championship at 189 pounds by Mitch Tyler, Roscommon finished first at the PC wrestling championships at Farwell.

Other individual champions were Houghton Lake's Dalton Bailey (171), who remained undefeated on the season at 28-0, as well as Sanford Meridan Eric Fader (215) and Gladwin's Jake Roza (285).

Houghton Lake also had two second place finishers: Logan Dunsmore (145) and David Duncan (215). And Houghton Lake coach Ryan King likes what he saw out of all three of his top finishers.

"I would predict Bailey to win the state championship in Division 3 at the same weight he wrestled today," King said. "Duncan gave Fader a good fight (at 215). He came in strong but a little weaker (in the finals) than we might normally expect from him. In his first match of season he had a head concussion and was not cleared until two weeks ago."

Logan Dunsmore could also be a surprise, King said.

"He is from out of state and he has been adjusting to the competition in Michigan," King said. "He has been wrestling strong at that wight class. If we goes out on the mats and wrestlers like that at districts I would expect him to move on to regionals and I would not count him out for state."
