Class: Senior
Notable: Zwolan scored 75 goals and added 44 assists in the Pioneers’ 20 games, and earned second-team All-State honors for the second consecutive year. Her assists and 119 total points led her team, but one of the most notable stats to her coach is that she had only 10 turnovers the entire season. “This year she’s played with great confidence, the most confidence I’ve ever seen her play with,” Pioneer coach Zachary Maghes said. As one of three senior captains, Zwolan helped the team win its third straight regional title, and get within a one-goal loss of advancing to the state title game. Zwolan led her team with four goals in a 10-9 state semifinal loss to Bloomfield Hills, as the Pioneers finished with a 15-5 record. Zwolan had 16 total goals in four playoff games. Some of her most notable performances included a seven-goal output April 20 against Cleveland St. Ignatius, a six-goal performance May 10 against South Lyon, and four five-goal games, including against Saline, Skyline and Huron. “She’s been a staple for us on our attack the last three years she’s been on varsity,” Maghes said.
