West Brunswick’s boys lacrosse team lost their first Mideastern Conference 3A game, 6-5, against North Brunswick on Tuesday, April 15. “It was a close game throughout. We had a chance in the last 90 seconds but couldn’t put the tying goal in,” Trojan lacrosse head coach Al Martin said. West was led by Zach Daley with two goals and one assist. Jonah Hewett scored one goal and added one assist. Brayden Collins and Ethan Winship each scored one goal. Gino Mondello led the defense with six ground balls. The Trojans ended the week losing to Topsail 19-0 in Hampstead on Thursday, April 17. West will return to the field against Ashley in Wilmington on Tuesday, April 29 and then host Hoggard at M.H. Rourk Stadium on Friday, May 2 at 6:45 p.m.
