Central Catholic's Michelle Marciniak to be inducted into Tennessee's Lady Volunteer Hall of Fame in same class as Pat Summitt

will enter the University of Tennessee's Lady Volunteer Hall of Fame along with her legendary former coach.

The ex-Viking is part of the school's 2012 class along with Pat Summitt, who is the winningest coach in NCAA basketball history, Jane Haist and Young-A Yang.

Marciniak originally attended the University of Notre Dame before transferring to Tennessee. She helped the Volunteers to the NCAA title in 1996, being named Final Four Most Outstanding Player in the process.

The Macungie native, a former Express-Times Player of the Year who graduated from Central Catholic in 1991, is the area's all-time girls basketball scoring leader (3,025) and was named the National High School Player of the Year by multiple organizations.

She holds Tennessee's single-season free throw percentage record, single-game steals mark and finished with 1,004 career points.
