While the beast that is Pa. high school football is in its slumber, the recruiting world is very much alive.

Every day there are commitments, decommitments, offers and more.

Here are Pa. high school football’s biggest stock risers of the week.

Joey O’Brien, ATH, La Salle College

La Salle College athlete Joey O’Brien is a coveted prospect by the top college football programs in the Class of 2026.

Per On3, O’Brien has lined up official visits with six Power 4 programs including Penn State, Oregon, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Clemson.

The four-star was a key cog in the Explorers' 10-1 season which included an early-season, quadruple-overtime victory over eventual PIAA 6A champions St. Joseph’s Prep.

Matt Sieg, ATH, Fort Cherry

The Fort Cherry quarterback has been verbally committed to Penn State as a safety since Nov. 2024, but that hasn’t stopped other programs from extending offers.

The Fighting Irish have been in the mix for a ton of Pa.‘s top high school players, including Harrisburg running back Messiah Mickens and the aforementioned O’Brien.

Unlike Mickens, Sieg hasn’t officially shut down his recruitment.

Sieg also has an official visit set up with the Nittany Lions from May. 30 - Jun. 1.

Mid-Penn round up

The University of New Hampshire has been quite busy handing out scholarship offers to Pa. players, including some Mid-Penn players.

Trinity’s Samuel Mulbah, Susquehanna Township’s Yendor Mack and Bishop McDevitt’s Liam Fuller both claimed offers from the Wildcats.

Along with the other elite Pa. players Notre dame has targeted, the landed one with Cumberland Valley offensive tackle Tyler Merrill.

Steel-High’s Angel Luciano has gained a ton of traction as a recruit since the turn of the calendar. He added his 14th Division I offer from Middle Tennessee State on Mar. 3.

Bishop McDevitt’s Nazir Jones-Davis nabbed his second Division I offer from Youngstown State.
