Tied 1-1 through seven innings and down 4-1 in the top of the eighth, Palmyra baseball uncorked four runs in the bottom half to walk off, 5-4 against Elizabethtown in a non-conference thriller on Thursday.

Needing three runs in the final frame, Alex Dorta (2-for-4, run, RBI) singled, scoring one run to cut it 4-2. Nate Osteen (1-for-4, run, two RBIs) tied the game, 4-4 by driving in two runs with a base hit. Ty Peck worked a walk, forcing in the winning run from there.
Adam Strohecker started for the Cougars on the mound, striking out eight to one hit and one run over four innings. Logan Kriner fanned nine around four hits, three runs and five walks. Clint Bricker struck out one as Palmyra’s arms combined for 18 strikeouts on the evening.
Ian Mohr led the Bears at the plate, finishing 2-for-4 with one RBI. Justin Borger was dealing from the bump all day, finishing with 10 strikeouts to one hit, one run and two walks.
