The Lowcountry is littered with teams that hope to make a deep postseason run in their respective classifications. It just so happens several of those teams face each this week.

Here is a look at the top six games featuring Lowcountry teams for Week 2.

Beaufort (0-2) at Philip Simmons (1-1)

Many are surprised the Eagles come in winless with losses to Fort Dorchester and Greenwood. QB [player_tooltip player_id='1254143' first='Samari' last='Bonds'] has been the bulk of Beaufort's offense, throwing for 504 yards and adding 165 yards rushing. His top targets have been Caleb Stephan with six catches for 95 yards and [player_tooltip player_id='1036774' first='Amare' last='Patterson'] adding four receptions for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='809756' first='Will' last='Codding'] leads with 17 tackles with Jaemin Odom adding 13 stops and James Thomas and Tylik Isom chipping in with 12 tackles each.

The Iron Horses are coming off a surprising loss to Lucy Bechham. [player_tooltip player_id='502413' first='Tavien' last='Orellana'] didn't finish that game but has 189 yards passing and 56 yards rushing on the season. Travaris Walker is the leading rusher with 116 yards with [player_tooltip player_id='1592547' first='Brody' last='Tonon'] adding two touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id='1254044' first='Kolten' last='Kellermann'] and Cooper Webb have combined for nine receptions for 136 yards thus far with Kellermann having two TD catches. Kellermann has also added 13 tackles and an interception from his safety position. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1578771' first='Daniel' last='Scarth'] leads the way with 20 tackles.

Goose Creek (1-1) at James Island (1-1)

On paper, this will feature the running of [player_tooltip player_id='473027' first='Meliq' last='McGowan'] and throwing of [player_tooltip player_id='402499' first='Kymani' last='Clary'] from Goose Creek against the stingy Trojans defense led by Luke Thomas, [player_tooltip player_id='272709' first='Malachi' last='Jefferson'], Jaseyvion Brown, Harper Woods and [player_tooltip player_id='1012698' first='Hendrix' last='Beran']. Can the experienced Gator offensive line of Tre Adams and Dallas Lee hold up to the pressure of a James Island defense that has 17 points in two games?

James Island has come out of the gate slowly on offense. [player_tooltip player_id='1592342' first='Connor' last='Dantzler'] has 409 yards passing with Jalen Brown-Singleton leading the way with 156 yards on 10 catches. But in two games, the Trojans only have 98 yards rushing. Goose Creek is experienced on defense with [player_tooltip player_id='402500' first='Malachi' last='Washington'] and Zion Freeman on the defensive line and Doran Smith and KJ Smalls at linebacker. [player_tooltip player_id='1267287' first='Jordan' last='Ravenell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='480120' first='Jacquez' last='Jenkins'] will be key in the secondary.

Lake City (1-1) at May River (2-0)

May River is off to a 2-0 start thanks to three players already having over 97 yards rushing. [player_tooltip player_id='1574079' first='Asa' last='Haskins'] leads the way with 212 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id='1592214' first='Andrew' last='Johnson'] added 116 yards and two scores with [player_tooltip player_id='1592230' first='Sean' last='Mitchell'] adding 97 yards in the run-heavy offense. [player_tooltip player_id='1360121' first='Tanner' last='Macy'] leads the way with three rushing touchdowns, and he has 145 yards passing on just four completions. Gage Duncan has the only receiving score so far. [player_tooltip player_id='1575340' first='Hudson' last='Flanagan'] and Peter Nodelman both average 10 tackles per game.

Lake City will counter with the passing of Amari Hanna and the running of Blayne Edwards. But the Panthers strength is the linebacker group. [player_tooltip player_id='1253928' first='Torrance' last='Wilson'] returns with [player_tooltip player_id='1013114' first='Antwain' last='Jones'] coming off missing a full season. [player_tooltip player_id='1254131' first='Messiah' last='Brayboy-Singletary'] is the third in the mix. That trio will be key in stopping the May River rushing attack.

Stratford (0-2) at Fort Dorchester (2-0)

Here are two teams with Class 5A aspirations that have started in different ways. The Knights have a loss to Summerville (only played a half) and against Daniel in a shootout. Fort Dorchester opened with close wins over Beaufort and Goose Creek.

The Knights have turned to sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='640683' first='Kevin' last='Johnson'] at quarterback. He has 275 yards passing but [player_tooltip player_id='473024' first='Ryan' last='Campbell'] has been the bell cow with 287 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Campbell also leads the team with four receptions for 79 yards. [player_tooltip player_id='454066' first='Malquan' last='Pimentel'] has the only receiving TD. Defensively, secondary players Jordan Wright, Chaz Mitchell and Duke Williams lead the way with nine tackles each.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253901' first='Kerwin' last='Squire'] ran for 287 yards and two touchdowns last Thursday in the loss to Daniel. [player_tooltip player_id='1165148' first='Jachin' last='Davis'] added 213 yards passing, 83 rushing, and two rushing scores. The Knights have key players like [player_tooltip player_id='1267289' first='Jameson' last='Pelham'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1403903' first='Ben' last='Jordan'] up front with Freddie Alston being the top receiver. But offense hasn't been the problem though. Stratford has allowed 80 points in six quarters. They need more upfront from [player_tooltip player_id='1573961' first='Wes' last='Snowden'] and Otis Gardner as well as [player_tooltip player_id='464896' first='Darrell' last='Holmes'] at linebacker.

Summerville (2-0) at Berkeley (1-1)

The Summerville and Berkeley rivalry is one of the oldest running in state history.

The Green Wave are coming off an impressive showing against a South Florence team that has talent all over the field on defense. [player_tooltip player_id='367350' first='Jaden' last='Cummings'] finished 21-of-29 for 311 yards and five touchdowns in the 45-20 victory. KeShon Washington was his top target with six receptions for 143 yards and three touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id='378969' first='Jaiden' last='Kelly-Murray'] was next with nine catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. Add in the 136 yards rushing from Jay Williams and Summerville is as balanced as they were a season ago when their season ended in the Class 5A semifinals. John Corley, Avian Kinard and Francis Roberts make it all happen up front. The Green Wave had to revamp on defense and seem to have a star in defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1359137' first='Yasir' last='Smith'] and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1267285' first='JT' last='Williams']. Dontez Walker has worked his way back into the secondary after missing all last year with an injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036733' first='Henry' last='Rivers'] is the catalyst for the Stags. The sophomore quarterback has 351 of Berkeley's 516 rushing yards and is completing 58 percent of his passes for 259 yards. Someone from the trio of [player_tooltip player_id='1271259' first='Jessie' last='Brown'], Braylon Cooper and K'Den Foxworth needs to become more of a factor in the running game to take some of the pressure off Rivers. [player_tooltip player_id='683478' first='Kayden' last='Bash'] (pictured) has two receiving touchdowns with Jvaariez Sumpter taking top receiving honors right now with nine catches for 98 yards. Linebackers [player_tooltip player_id='1165076' first='Marcus' last='Henderson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1267216' first='Kevin' last='Rivers'] along with defensive backs [player_tooltip player_id='1426798' first='Cameron' last='McCue'] and [player_tooltip player_id='464891' first='Johoava' last='Williams'] will have to be big to slow the Summerville offense.

Cross (2-0) at Timberland (1-1)

Let's forget for a minute this one features Cross coach Shaun Wright and Timberland coach Greg Wright are cousins. There's talent on both sides.

Cross will rely on a defense that has allowed 14 points in two games. [player_tooltip player_id='1012859' first='Karmello' last='Jones'] is a key in the running game, but he's provided 13 tackles, and a fumble return for a TD on defense. The senior is also a threat in the return game as evidenced by his 90-yard kickoff return last week. Defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1360087' first='David' last='Wigfall'] has added 11 tackles this season. The Trojans already have six forced turnovers. [player_tooltip player_id='1172364' first='Mah'ky' last='Green'] and [player_tooltip player_id='473021' first='Caden' last='Ramsey'] have interceptions. Green and Ramsey play a huge role on offense as well. Green has 158 yards rushing while Ramsey leads the receivers with seven catches for 84 yards and three touchdowns so far.

The Wolves have one of the top junior prospects in the state in offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='473011' first='Desmond' last='Green']. He's joined up front by Kaseam Liferidge and Keyon Wright. They hope to pave the way for new starting quarterback Malyk Goodman and sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='413888' first='Josh' last='Brown']. Aiden Berrios should be the top receiving target. Ethan Milligan and Demarrs Middleton return at linebacker and will be the key for Timberland.
