The 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo took place on Sunday, September 8th in Rock Hill, South Carolina featuring some of the best 2025s, 2026s, and 2027s in North and South Carolina. After warming up with some 3v3 action, the players were divided into twenty teams for two 5v5 games. Check out my evaluations of the seven South Carolina prospects from Team 4 at the 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo:

#298 [player_tooltip player_id='2414074' first='Justin' last='Vining'] (Fox Creek) - Team 4 had a few capable ball handlers on the roster including Fox Creek's [player_tooltip player_id='2414074' first='Justin' last='Vining']. Vining had some bright moments scoring the ball, showing off an ability to finish around the rim with both hands, pull up in the mid-range, and knock down threes. Justin takes pride in his playmaking abilities and he did a good job of keeping his teammates involved and putting them in positions to be successful.

#304 [player_tooltip player_id='2630132' first='Kiishawn' last='Farrow'] (Hillcrest) - Kiishawn was one of two 2028s who signed up for the Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo this year, but you wouldn't be able to tell his youth from his performances. He is a gifted passer and does a really good job of using his body to legally create space in the lane. Farrow is quick, active with his hands on defense, has a good ball handle, is comfortable pulling up inside the perimeter, and can run pick-and-roll sets effectively.

#326 [player_tooltip player_id='1848086' first='Jaden' last='Hayden-Barber'] (York Prep) - I was impressed with Hayden-Barbers showing in Rock Hill. He plays his High School ball at nearby York Prep and showed some athleticism to go with his strong frame. Jaden had a couple of terrific blocks in help defense and is an overall solid option on that end of the floor. He is also a very capable shooter knocking down multiple threes.

#363 [player_tooltip player_id='2175532' first='Channing' last='Wood-McCloy'] (Lexington) - Channing had some nice plays spotting up off the ball or using minimal dribbles to get the basket. Wood-McCloy is extremely smart with his pump fake and uses it well to get his defender off balance. He will also work hard to clean up the glass and has good vision to make key passes from the perimeter or on the drive.

#502 [player_tooltip player_id='2460186' first='Sutton' last='Cooper'] (Waccamaw) - Cooper was another one of Team 4's most successful perimeter shooters. He showcased a pure stroke and at 6'4" he has the size to shoot over most matchups. Sutton could be seen as a 3 & D wing because he takes pride in his defensive efforts and can guard 2s, 3s, and 4s.

#537 [player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie'] (Ridge View) - At #3 in the Prep Hoops SC 2027 Rankings, [player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie'] was one of the highest-ranked prospects in Rock Hill this weekend. He had one of the more impressive individual plays of the entire camp: a high-flying, posterzing dunk. Wylie is a terrific athlete and can cover ground quickly with his long strides and arms. These are all attributes that he will use effectively on both ends of the floor which help him be a true two-way playmaker.

#709 Landon Hawkins (South Pointe) - Landon of South Pointe High School was another hometown player at the 2024 Prep Hoops Carolinas Expo. He is a 6'5" prospect with a strong frame and fluid movement skills. He does a good job of creating space with his ball handling or by using his body. Hawkins is also a confident shooter from behind the arc, but some improved efficiency could help his game a lot.
