Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Rhodes men's lacrosse team couldn't overcome Sewanee, as the fell 13-2 on Friday in Southern Athletic Association action.
The Lynx are 7-8 and 1-5 in league play while the Tigers capture the SAA title with a 6-0 conference record and a 9-3 record overall.
Rhodes got two goals, the first from
Matthew Jones on the first quarter when he buried a
Cooper Robinson pass to make the count 4-1. The Lynx' second goal came in the final three minutes of play when Rhodes capitalized on a man up opportunity when
Jason Lee netted a goal unassisted.
The Tigers connected on 13 goal, taking home a 13-2 win.
Braxton Carr saw all 60 minutes for the Lynx, grabbing 15 saves while in goal.
The Lynx were outshot by a count of 51-23 and lost the ground ball war as well, 30-18.
Rhodes will wrap up its regular season this Sunday, April 13 at Centre College at 12 p.m.
