Rhodes struggles against Centre, losing 19-4

Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. – Rhodes lacrosse suffered a tough loss on the road to Centre College on Sunday 19-4 to wrap up the regular season.
 
The Lynx finish their 2014 campaign with a 7-9 record and a 1-6 league record. The Colonels boast a 10-3 record and a 6-1 finish in league action.
 
Rhodes saw the Colonels post 15 straight goals before getting on the board in the fourth period with a goal each from Kevin Vieira, Alessandro Secino, Jason Lee and MG Jadick to end the contest 19-4.
 
The Lynx had two different goal keepers in the net, with Braxton Carr earning 30 minutes in the first half and Michael Stierer picking up 30 second half minutes. Carr grabbed two saves in goal, while Stierer snagged four saves in the outing.
 
Rhodes was outshot by their opponents by a margin of 40-24, while each team picked up 35 ground balls.
 
Rhodes will look forward to their matchup in the SAA conference tournament, where the Lynx will likely face Centre College as the No. 7 seed on April 19.
