BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Gulf South Conference Sports Information Directors and Faculty Athletic Representatives named five Christian Brothers University soccer players to the FireSeeds Academic All-GSC Teams, and 30 athletes earned spots on the GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Three players represented CBU on the women's soccer Academic All-GSC Team. Senior midfielder
Carmen Manes (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) was a first-team All-GSC player while carrying a 3.33 GPA in liberal studies. Junior midfielder
Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) was a Second-Team All-American and First-Team All-GSC selection while carrying a 3.43 GA in civil engineering. Sophomore defender
Gabrielle Pilgrim (Rockford, Mich./Rockford HS) joined them on the Academic All-GSC team, carrying a 3.94 GPA in English. She was a Second-Team All-GSC selection as a sophomore, anchoring the defense again this season.

Sean Rutter (Bristol, England/Filton College) was a first-team All-GSC selection and carries a 3.47 GPA in business administration. Junior forward
Kevin Tikhomiroff (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Complexo Eucacional Contemporaneo) has a 3.27 GPA in business administration while playing a key role as midfielder.
The women's soccer team placed 13 players on the GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll, followed by 10 men's soccer players, three men's cross country runners, three women's cross country runners and one volleyball player.
To be nominated for the Academic All-GSC Team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be starters or significant contributors to the team. Freshmen and first-semester transfers are ineligible. SID's and FAR's of GSC member schools conduct a joint vote to select the winners. The Academic Honor Roll comprises all players who carry at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA and participate in at least one game, match or meet against outside competition.
