University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Sean Boyle is the Southern Conference wrestler of the week for all competition from Feb. 18-24. The selection is made by the league office and is the final one of the season.

Boyle, the Mocs' 125-pounder, went 2-0 last week, highlighted by a win over No. 5 Thomas Gilman of then-undefeated and top-ranked Iowa on Saturday. Boyle earned a 3-1 decision over Gilman, scoring a takedown 35 seconds into overtime for the upset win. Chattanooga was participating in the quarterfinals of the NWCA National Duals and was the only team of the eight that wasn't ranked in the top 15 nationally.

Boyle picked up a 17-1 technical fall over SIUE's Nathan Day the following day as the Mocs wrapped up their third straight undefeated SoCon slate and regular-season title with the 31-6 team win. The Lowell, Mass., native improved to 27-5 overall and 6-0 in SoCon matches this season.

Following his big week, Boyle moved up from No. 10 to No. 8 in the national rankings at 125.

The weekly selection was his second of the season, as he also took the honor on Jan. 7.

Chattanooga (13-6, 7-0 SoCon) returns to action on March 7 at the Arby's Southern Conference Wrestling Championship at Kimmel Arena in Asheville, N.C.
