University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sophomores Scottie Boykin and Michael Pongracz both earned at-large bids to the 2015 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, announced today.  They were two of 71 who were notified that they will compete in next week's national tournament in St. Louis, Mo.

Pongracz is coming off a second place showing at 141 pounds at Saturday's Southern Conference Tournament.  He is 20-14 overall and making his first trip to the NCAAs.

Boykin is a two-time All-SoCon honoree who finished third in the league tournament on Saturday.  He is also making his first trip to Nationals with a 24-11 record at 197 pounds.

All totaled, UTC is sending seven individuals to the NCAA Tournament, which begins on Thursday, March 19.  It is the most individuals UTC has sent to the NCAAs in one year since eight went in 2008.

The NCAA also released the brackets for the championships, which are attached to this story in .pdf form.  Senior Sean Boyle is the No. 5 seed at 125, while senior Nick Soto is the No. 15 seed at 133.  Also in the field from UTC are senior Shawn Greevy (149) and sophomores Sean Mappes (174) and Jared Johnson (285).
