MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes men's lacrosse team earned the Southern Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week in
Ryan Fennelly.
Fennelly was crucial in the Lynx 11-10 overtime conference road win against Hendrix College on Wednesday. The first-year netted five goals and four assists in the game, including the overtime game-winner. Fennelly grabbed the ball out of the air on a Warrior clear attempt to net the game-winner on an open goal. The Montclair, N.J. native also picked up four ground balls, and had one caused turnover. In the Lynx overtime loss to Birmingham Southern College, Fennelly netted two goals and picked up one ground ball and one caused turnover. On the week, the attack had seven goals and four assists.
Rhodes will be back in action on March 27 when they head to Rome, Ga. to take on Berry College.
