Former Chattanooga Rower Coaching In NCAA Women's Championship

Former Chattanooga rower Joanna Poinsatte will be coaching in the 2015 NCAA Women's Rowing Championship this weekend in Sacramento, Calif.

She is the graduate assistant coach for the Wisconsin Badgers' women's rowing team. She coaches the first varsity four boat for the Badgers, who were as highly ranked as 8th nationally this year.
 
Poinsatte rowed for Chattanooga Junior Rowing for three years while at Notre Dame High School, and competed in the US Rowing Youth National Championships with CJR in 2008 and 2009.
 
She then rowed for the University of Notre Dame and competed with her ND team in the NCAA Women's Rowing Championships in 2012 and 2013.
 
Last year she was an assistant rowing coach at GPS.
 
She is working on a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Public Policy at UWisconsin- Madison.
