Bowl selections: Where to watch, where to go

Are you ready for the college bowl season?

On Sunday, we'll find out who's playing who in the upcoming 41 bowl games.

The selection show will be broadcast on ESPN from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Where will the state's four bowl participants — Vanderbilt, MTSU, Tennessee and Memphis — go?  Who will play in the Music City Bowl?

There's been a lot of speculation, but we'll finally found out.

ON TELEVISION

The schedule includes:

7-11 a.m.: College Football Daily (ESPNU)

11 a.m.-3 p.m.: College Football Selection Show (ESPN)

3-5 p.m.: Championship Drive: Bowl Selection Show (ESPNU)

5-7 p.m.: SEC Now: Bowl Special (SEC Network)

7:30-10 p.m.: Championship Drive: Who's In (ESPN)

BOWL-BY-BOWL ANNOUNCEMENTS

ESPN is expected to announce the four teams participating in the national semifinal games (the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl) at approximately 11:30 a.m. The network will then announce which teams are playing in the Capital One Orange Bowl, the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, the Rose Bowl Game and the Allstate Sugar Bowl around 2:30 p.m.

After those opponents are named, the rest of the bowl matchups will be announced, beginning at 3 p.m. on ESPNU

VANDERBILT PARTY

Vanderbilt will host a bowl celebration party Sunday night at the Student Life Center (across the street from Memorial Gym) with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.  Fans can purchase bowl tickets at the celebration with the first 500 fans receiving T-shirts and a limited edition 2016 bowl poster.

MTSU ANNOUNCEMENT

The Blue Raiders are not planning an official public announcement. However, the team will gather at 1:45 p.m. to learn their bowl destination.

NO UT EVENT

The Vols are not planning a public event in Knoxville.
