Blackman's Trey Knox (13) runs the ball against Oakland on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Oakland.

Blackman senior wide receiver Trey Knox was injured late in the Blaze’s 24-14 loss at Oakland on Friday.

Blackman coach Kit Hartsfield said the four-star recruit sprained his ankle on the team’s last offensive play, a failed fourth down conversion in which Knox gained three yards on a keeper out of the quarterback position.

He returned to the game and played defense on the final two plays of the game as Oakland took a knee.

Knox missed some time in the preseason because of issues with the ankle.

“He’ll probably miss a couple of weeks,” said Hartsfield. “We have Warren County next week, then fall break.”

Despite, the injury Knox said he plans on making his official visit to Tennessee this weekend when the Vols host Florida. Knox is the No. 6 prospect in the 247Sports Composite for the Class of 2019.
