Kellie Harper impresses Jordan Horston's mother on visit to see top Lady Vols recruit

Kellie Harper is wasting no time building key relationships as Tennessee's women's basketball coach.

She visited key recruit Jordan Horston on Thursday, according to a tweet from Horston's mother, Malika.

"Clone this lady!" Malika Horston wrote in a tweet that included a photo of Harper standing alongside Jordan. "She did more today (than) most! Thanks for flying in to meet with us! Safe travels back! We enjoyed getting to break bread with you!"

Horston is a 6-foot-1 guard from Columbus Africentric in Columbus, Ohio. She was named the most valuable player of last month's McDonald's All-American Game in Atlanta.

Horston is a five-star prospect who is ranked No. 2 in the ESPN/HoopGurlz rankings. She joined five-star Tamari Key and three-star Emily Saunders in signing with Tennessee in November.

Harper said Wednesday at her introductory news conference that all three players have reaffirmed their standing with the Lady Vols.

“They are all on board and feel great about being Lady Vols,” Harper said.
