Highlighted by Blake Boarman's upset victory in the 133-pound quarterfinals, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga put three wrestlers into the semifinals of the Southern Scuffle Monday at McKenzie Arena.

Boarman, who improved to 9-0 with a trio of wins Monday, picked up an 11-4 win over FloWrestling.com 14th-ranked Tyler Knox of Stanford in the quarterfinals. He joined by Isaiah Powe (141 pounds) and second-seeded Noah Castillo (149) in the semifinals, helping the Mocs earn 42.5 points on the first day, good for eighth place.

Boarman will have to defeat another ranked wrestler, 22nd-ranked Kurt Phipps of Bucknell, to reach the final, which begin Tuesday morning at 11 with the fifth round of consolations. The championship semifinals are scheduled to begin at 1, with the championships set for 7.

Castillo, ranked 10th in the country in his weight class, will face 25th-ranked Graham Rooks from Indiana Tuesday. Powe goes against another Indiana wrestler, Dan Fongera, in the semis.

UTC will also take five players into the consolations: Brayden Palmer (125), Austin Paradice (157), Jackson Hurst (157), Kamdyn Munro (165) and Ethan Vergara (285).
