Kiki Milloy day to day with injury as Lady Vols softball opens series against Georgia

Lady Vols softball star Kiki Milloy is dealing with a lower-body injury as Tennessee opened a three-game series against Georgia.

A UT spokesperson confirmed Friday that Milloy is day to day.

Freshman Alannah Leach started in center field in Milloy's place for Friday's opener. Milloy did not play Saturday.

The No. 6 Lady Vols (29-6, 9-2 SEC) have split the first two games against No. 3 Georgia (31-7, 7-4) at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. UT won 5-1 Friday and were defeated 3-2 on Saturday. The final game is Sunday at 11 a.m.

Milloy, a fifth-year senior, is hitting .355 this season and is tied for the team lead with nine homers. She has 20 RBIs and 20 steals.

Leach is hitting .244 in 26 games with 10 starts.

Milloy hit .406 last season and set three Tennessee single-season records with 25 homers, 86 runs scored, and a .929 slugging percentage. The native of Woodinville, Washington had a .554 on-base percentage and an OPS of 1.483. She earned NFCA first-team All-America honors and was named to the All-SEC first team.

Kiki Milloy is the Lady Vols softball home run record-holder

Milloy set the Lady Vols softball home run record on Feb. 23 when she hit her 58th career homer. She broke the record held by Meghan Gregg, who played at UT from 2015 to 2018.

Milloy tied Gregg's record with her 57th homer on Feb. 9, tying the record in 203 games. Gregg hit her 57th homer in her 242nd career game. Milloy broke the record in 208 games.
