Even though Brylee Mesusan and Faith Adams each had two-hit games and manufactured ETSU’s lone scoring play in the sixth inning, it was not enough of an offensive effort to pull out a road win on Wednesday.

Tennessee Tech got on the board in the third inning via a solo shot, followed by three runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to put it out of reach.

Kendall Thackston got the start for ETSU and took the loss (0-3) after allowing the one run on three hits with one walk in three innings. Taylor Suchy entered in relief and issued three runs on four hits with three walks, while Gabby Fowler pitched one inning and allowed two runs to score.

The loss drops the Bucs record to (9-27) overall as they will return to SoCon play this weekend when ETSU hosts Samford in a three-game series starting with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
