Station Camp junior swimmer Riley Gaines committed to Kentucky on Tuesday.

Gaines, the daughter of former Vanderbilt football standout Brad Gaines, is a U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier and six-time high school state champion.

"I chose (Kentucky) because they were third at (the SEC Championship meet), they have fast girls in my events, great coaches and an offer I couldn't turn down," Gaines said. "I'm glad to be committed this early, because there's no pressure now and I can focus on my swimming."

Last summer at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb., Gaines placed 85th in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 57.46.
