Blackman's Baileigh Snow (left) and Siegel's Danielle Jedlicki (right), along with Blackman's Sarah Sanes, are finalists for the all-area girls bowler of the year award.

It was another banner year for area girls bowlers.

The Blackman girls team reached the state semifinals, and several individuals earned state tournament trips, including three who made it to the championship round.

Those three — Siegel's Danielle Jedlicki and Blackman's Sarah Sanes and Baileigh Snow — are the finalists for The Daily News Journal's all-area girls bowler of the year award.

Jedlicki reached the finals of the step-ladder championship round for the third consecutive season, finishing runner-up. She averaged 207 in the state tournament.

Sanes reached the third match of the championship round and averaged 204.9 during the regular season.

Snow led all area bowlers in the regular season, entering the state tournament with a 210.6 average before advancing through the state quarterfinals and semifinals.

The all-area girls bowler of the year will be announced at an all-sports ceremony in May.
