CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) Clarksville Academy has announced Ashley Slay and Whitney Moore will lead the Clarksville Academy Volleyball program for the 2018 season. “We are very excited to have Ashley Slay as a full-time employee and our new Head Volleyball Coach. She brings a wealth of experience and excitement to the program. Coach Slay is a perfect fit to be a part of the CA family,” said Athletic Director Jake Peterson.

Slay transitions to her head coaching position after completing her volleyball career at Austin Peay State University. Slay was Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year for the 2017 season. Also, she was named First-Team All-OVC during her junior and senior season. Slay prepped her high school volleyball career at Ensworth in Nashville, Tennessee.

Moore, a four-year letter winner and two-year starter at Butler University, lead the team in kills and digs for the 2017 season. Moore was named MVP at Kent State Golden Flashes Classic during her senior season. In high school at Edwards County High School (IL), Moore was named first-team all-conference four years, first-team All-State (senior season) while leading the team to a 41-1 record a runner-up in the Illinois High School State Tournament. “We are very excited about the addition of Coach Moore as our Assistant Volleyball Coach,” said Peterson.
