The Best of Carter County Sports Coach of the Year had two incredible seasons.
Unaka’s Kenneth Chambers has been named the Best of Carter County Sports Coach of the Year after he led the Lady Rangers Softball and Lady Rangers Basketball programs to the state tournament.
Both squads were selected as the Female Teams of the Year.
Chambers saw both teams record wins at the state tournament and also won Region 1-A titles in both sports. The Lady Rangers softball team claimed a District 1-A Tournament title, while the basketball team were runner-ups.
In addition to Chambers and the Lady Rangers, the Elizabethton baseball team was honored as Best of Carter County Sports honorees this summer.
