Clarksville High finished atop the District 10-AAA regular-season standings and was the district tournament runner-up to Henry County.

Here is the 2018 Leaf-Chronicle All Area softball team.

FIRST TEAM

Madison Berner

Clarksville High, So.

Position: Outfielder

Why chosen: Berner was named All-District 10-AAA for second straight year. She hit .421 with 45 hits, 13 doubles, four triples, six homers, 32 RBIs and 49 runs scored.

Madisen Blackwell

Clarksville High, So.

Position: Pitcher

Why chosen: Blackwell was named the District-AAA 10 MVP as a pitcher and hitter. She was 16-4 with 1.48 ERA in 104 innings with 98 strikeouts. She batted .444 with a slugging percentage of .567 with 44 hits, nine doubles, five home runs and 39 RBIs.

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: Dorthlalina was the Lady Hawks' most effective offensive player, hitting .458 with 33 hits, six homers, 25 RBIs, 27 runs and a .948 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Lexi Ezekiel

Clarksville Academy, Sr.

Position: Pitcher

Why chosen: Ezekiel led Clarksville Academy on the mound this past spring finishing with an ERA of 2.48 with 49 strikeouts. She had a 5-4 pitching record with two saves.

Shelby Gibson

Clarksville High, Jr.

Position: Catcher

Why chosen: Gibson had a powerful arm and batted .357 with 30 hits, six doubles, a triple and 30 RBIs.

Payton Ketcham

Northeast, Sr.

Position: Outfielder

Why chosen: Ketcham hit .325 with 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored for the Lady Eagles.

Lindsay Lafferty

Montgomery Central, Sr.

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: Lafferty helped lead Montgomery Central to an 11-5 District 10 record in the program's first season in Class AAA. She batted .506 with five home runs and 26 RBIs.

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: McClellan was named all-district and all-tournament and will play for MTSU. She batted.439 with 43 hits, nine doubles, four triples, 45 runs, 30 RBIs and 22 stolen bases.

Arie Milam

Clarksville High, So.

Position: Outfielder

Why chosen: A slap-hitter with speed, Milam batted .341 with two doubles, 18 runs, 10 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

Kaitlin Woodruff

Montgomery Central, So.

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: Woodruff batted .360 with five home runs and 34 RBIs for the Lady Indians.

Gracelyn Woollen

Clarksville High, Fr.

Position: Utility

Why chosen: Woollen was named all-district and all-tournament. She batted .388 and finished with 33 hits, eight doubles, five home runs and 32 RBIs.
