The Tennessee Sports Writers Association continued to release its all-state selections, and four Jackson area soccer players have been selected.

Lexington forward Tristan Lowery was named all-state in Class AA. Madison Academic midfielder Joey Soriano was selected in Class A.

University School of Jackson's Jack Edwards (midfielder) and Will Pucek (forward) rounded out the local selections in Division II.

Lowery, the All-West Tennessee Player of the Year, was a handful for opposing defenses. The senior scored 48 goals and provided 15 assists for the Tigers. Lexington was the No. 4 seed in the District 14-AA tournament, but Lowery helped the Tigers reach the Class AA state quarterfinals.

Soriano, a junior, was a veteran for a young Madison team. The Mustangs won the Region 6-A championship en route to hosting a Class A sectional. Soriano's work in the midfield created goals for Madison.

Edwards, a University of Memphis signee, created plenty of goal-scoring opportunities for the Bruins. He scored 21 goals and provided 15 assists.

Pucek, a sophomore, went on a goal-scoring tear at the beginning of the season. He battled a leg injury throughout the second half of the season, but still netted 38 goals and had 10 assists.
