Introducing the inaugural USA TODAY Network of Middle Tennessee High School Fantasy Football League. 

It's a chance to perhaps pay closer attention to individual efforts during the high school season.

Each week high school writers from the Nashville area will select their teams and follow their individual achievement

The Rules

  • Each team will select seven players via a weekly snake-style draft, including a quarterback, two running backs, a flex position (running back, wide receiver or tight end), a defense and a kicker.
  • Each team may only pick a player once during the regular season.
  • Teams will accumulate points on an ongoing basis. League standings will be determined by the teams’ point total.
  • If statistics cannot be found, the player receives zero points.

Scoring

OFFENSE
1 point for every 10 yards rushing
1 point for every 10 yards receiving
1 point for every 20 yards passing
6 points for every touchdown (passing, rushing or receiving)
2 points for a 2-point conversion (passing, rushing or receiving)

DEFENSE
0 points allowed: 10 points
2-6 points allowed: 7 points
7-13 points allowed: 4 points
14-20 points allowed: 2 points
21-27 points allowed: 0 points
28-plus point allowed: -1 points

SPECIAL TEAMS
3 points for every field goal
1 point for every extra-point kick
