Here are the top performers from Week 1's football action:

RUSHING

Eric Latham, South Side

Latham ran for 277 yards and six touchdowns on 24 carries as the Hawks beat Ripley 55-10.

Daquan Robinson, Huntingdon

Robinson had 172 yards rushing and three touchdowns on four carries as the Mustangs beat McKenzie 49-19.

Josh Owens, Crockett County

Owens rushed the ball 11 times for 144 yards and four touchdowns as the Cavaliers beat Dyer County 49-19. He scored a fifth touchdown on a kickoff return, and he also had seven solo tackles and four assists.

Hunter Ensley, Huntingdon

Ensley rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries as the Mustangs beat McKenzie 49-19.

Brandon Lawton, Huntingdon

Lawton rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown on eight carries as the Mustangs beat McKenzie 49-19.

John Whitley, Hardin County

Whitley rushed the ball for 112 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries as the Tigers beat Craigmont 55-16.

Kameron Farrington, North Side

Farrington rushed for 107 yard on 18 carries, but the Indians lost to Germantown 38-6.

Haynes Holt, North Side

Holt rushed for 101 yards on 11 carries, but the Indians lost to Germantown 38-6.

Luke Pratt, Crockett County

Pratt accounted for 126 yards of offense with 78 of them and two touchdowns coming on the ground as the Cavaliers beat Dyer County 49-19. He was 2-for-4 passing for 48 yards.

PASSING

Walker Rhea, Jackson Christian

Rhea threw for 169 yards on 11-of-23 passing, but the Eagles lost to TCA 17-6.

Stone Frost, Riverside

Frost completed 9-of-14 passes for 128 yards as the Panthers beat Obion County 14-7. He also ran the ball for 83 yards and two touchdowns to go along with four punts with a 40-yard average.

Rivers Hunt, Hardin County

Hunt threw the ball for 122 yards and one touchdown on 8-of-11 passes as the Tigers beat Craigmont 55-16. He also rushed the ball for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Jace McKenzie, Bolivar

McKenzie completed 9-of-19 passes for 115 yards, but the Tigers lost to Adamsville 19-9.

 

RECEIVING

Rayshawn Marcell, Bolivar

Marcell had 85 yards receiving on five catches, but the Tigers lost to Adamsville 19-9.

Justice Weatherspoon, Hardin County

Weatherspoon had 80 yards receiving on six catches as the Tigers beat Craigmont 55-16.

DEFENSE

Mason Montgomery, Riverside

Montgomery had 17 total tackles as the Panthers beat Obion County 14-7.

Naziro Juarez, Riverside

Juarez had 12 total tackles as the Panthers beat Obion County 14-7.

Austin Avery, Huntingdon

Avery had nine total tackles (three solo, six assists), including two tackles for loss, as the Mustangs beat McKenzie 49-19.

Austin Clark, South Side

Clark had nine total tackles (five solo, three assists and one tackle for loss) and one recovered fumble as the Hawks beat Ripley 55-10. He also had 84 total yards of offense with 49 yards rushing and 35 yards receiving.

Drew Richardson, Scotts Hill

Richardson had nine total tackles (three solo and six assists) to go along with one interception, but the Lions lost to Lewis County 35-0.

Dekylan Genesy, North Side

Genesy had nine total tackles (three solo and six assists) along with one pass breakup, but the Indians lost to Germantown 28-6.

Devin Bowers, South Side

Bowers had eight total tackles (four solo, four assists) and one caused fumble as the Hawks beat Ripley 55-10.

Hunter Stettner, Camden

Stettner had eight total tackles, but the Lions lost to Waverly 43-8.

Nick Francis, Adamsville

Francis had eight total tackles (six solos and two assists) along with an interception as the Cardinals beat Bolivar 19-9.

Peyton Tinsley, Jackson Christian

Tinsley had three tackles, two tackles for loss and one interception, but the Eagles lost to TCA 17-6.

NOTABLE

Dylan Mayberry, Milan

Mayberry scored three touchdowns three different ways as the Bulldogs beat Humboldt 62-6. He blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown, recovered a fumble for a touchdown and had 24 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown.
